Everyone wants the best gaming chair used by the professional gamers out there, don’t they? Then you, my friend, are in luck. Whenever people ask me the brand that manufactures the best looking, feeling and the best bang for your buck gaming chairs on the market, I have only one answer:

Secretlab has gained astronomical popularity ever since its launch. And it’s a no-brainer that gamers worship the name to be the best. So, what’s the best of the best?
Secretlab has two primary gaming chair lines: Omega and Titan. Omega, being the predecessor of the Titan, was the original Secretlab chair, receiving a very positive response from the gaming community during its initial release with its customisable armrests, multifunctional lit mechanisms, and dense foams for comfortable user experience. But when taller people demanded a larger chair, Secretlab delivered almost instantly— introducing the Titan; with added upgrades in the lumbar and seating department.

1. Omega vs Titan – Size
The first notable difference we can see between titan and omega, is their varying sizes. If we take a look at the preview table, we can see that the Titan is significantly bigger— and not just in height. The Titan chair was a design that incorporated two things in mind when being curated: to accommodate the larger players & and to implement the new features and upgrades that made it the flagship model.
Technically speaking, the Titan has a backrest length that is 1.5 inches longer than the one that of Omega, and 0.7 inches increase in width in that same area. Similarly, the Titan has also seen to outmatch the Omega in contexts of the seat width, the distance between armrest to the armrest, and the floor to seat base ratio, making it the bigger brother.
But that doesn’t yet disqualify the Omega. For average-sized people like me who prefer adaptability, it is best to try sitting in the Omega before passing your judgement. If the chair serves perfect body alignment, it’s for you. However, even the slightest of pressures in feeling that it is small puts the favour back into the Titan’s hands.
We can also observe that Secretlab designed Omega for people that are 5’3” to 5’11” and below 240 pounds. On the other hand, the Titan tailors to those who are 5’9” to 6’10” and below 290 pounds. Gamers are known to be aggressive in their daily pursuits in front of the screen, and having a chair that isn’t durable, just doesn’t make sense.

The ergonomic support of a gaming chair is imperative towards day-to-day use. Having a solid, comfortable and stable ergonomic sitting during gaming or other work-related tasks, is a long-term benefactor.
When I asked people in their 40’s if how they seated in their 20s were ergonomic, they replied with a firm no and later confessed to wishing that they cared about their backs more. As a gamer spending more than 3 hours seated, it is essential to realise how crucial it is to have the correct posture.

4. Omega vs Titan – Comfortability
One of the primary features a user is looking for in a gaming chair is comfortability. When you’re playing that new Call of Duty game, you want to be able to stay there for hours without feeling irritated, right?

5. Omega vs Titan – Price
One of the determining factors of whether or not you’re going to buy something is heavily reliant on the pricing. If it’s too much, it’s no-go.
The average price of a gaming chair is listed at around $250. Secretlab Omega is priced at about $359. And the Secretlab Titan is $399. Do the math, and we can see that the Omega is $40 or a near 10% cheaper than the Titan. The Omega takes it home with the price-tag.
If you’re someone who thinks $40 is a significant difference, by all means, the Omega is the one for you. However, by investing that marginal amount in something with a levelled seat base, integrated adjustable lumbar support, better comfortability and proper sitting ergonomics, it can prove to be the bang for your buck in the longer run.

Verdict
Both the Secretlab Omega and Titan are phenomenal chairs; each equipped with their unique capabilities and points. The difference, however, lies between your preferences. Through the due diligence of the comparison, the Titan takes it home with a 3:1 win. But that need not decide your decision in choosing either one of the two.
If you’re someone who prioritizes a bigger, comfortable, ergonomic and more immersive chair, the Titan is the right one for you. With their added integrated adjustable lumbar system, full-length backrest reclines and levelled seat base; users are not disappointed with their purchase.
But if you’re someone who looks to expect somewhat of a similar experience but at a price $40 less than the Titan and a broader framework, than the Omega is the right one for you.
