Maker Faire is the Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth, a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement. It’s a place where people show what they are making, and share what they are learning.

Makers range from tech enthusiasts to crafters to homesteaders to scientists to garage tinkerers. They are of all ages and backgrounds. The aim of Maker Faire is to entertain, inform, connect and grow this community.”

Noite Europeia dos Investigadores 2011

This event will be open to the public and everyone will be able to test our RiftCycles.

Me and João Morais, from Overflow Interactive, we will also be in a Talk entitled “How I’ve built the RiftCycles, Two Cycles Tron movie replicas.” where we will explain the entire process of creating this unique project.

For those who haven’t had the opportunity to experience the RiftCycles at SAPO Codebits, you don’t want to miss this event that will take place for the first time in Portugal. The entry is FREE but you still need to get your ticket. You’re advised to check for updates on the event calendar regularly to check the latest news.

The Machine: Bride of Pin·bot

When I was a kid I didn’t had the change to play with a lot of  Pinballs. In fact in the place where I lived, there weren’t that many places where you could play one, but there were some… so the few pinballs I played, got a special place in my heart.

Two of them are already have in my modest collection, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Creature From The Black Lagoon. Now it was time to bring to my mancave, another of these pinballs, The Machine: Bride of Pin · bot.

This is an amazing but simple gameplay machine which I personally like … a lot. If the memory doesn’t  betray me, I think I played it for the first time somewhere between 1993 and 1995 in an arcade hall in a dark basement.

This pinball will in the future require a complete restoration in the cabinet and the playfield, but for now I just wanna play with it xD

This pinball is now with me thanks to PinballPT. They made an impeccable cleaning and put it to work. Awesome work as always … and I managed to fit the machine in my car loool
