You can use your exotic ciphers, engrams, complete campaigns, or directly buy them from Xur in exchange for your resources.

However, not all weapons are easy to find, as some weapons will need you to grind it out in playing hours and quests before you can access the loot and rewards. The Shadowkeep expansion has added both legendary and exotics into the game. Also, some of the added weapons are attractive god rolls best suited for those looking to start farming for new weapons. Some of these weapons can easily replace the old ones and even some of the Pinnacle weapons from the previous seasons. 

However, it only works best if you choose the weapon that gels well with your gameplay and overall gaming style. Therefore, ensure that you choose the weapons that suit your loadout before entering PvE or PvP combat.

This exotic Auto rifle comes with kinetic abilities that drastically reduce your melee cooldown and fully charges your melee ability with each kill. With the Markov Chain, you get increased damage from melee and your overall kills in the game. Every melee kills you get gives you additional ammo for this weapon. The 600 RPM does the Monte Carlo the second-highest damaging Auto Rifle.

However, this weapon is mainly achieved through a random world drop, meaning you can get it by completing Strikes, Public Events, Crucible Matches, Gambit Escalation Protocol, The Menagerie, and by playing the Vex Offensive. Conducting Raids and Nightfall strikes further increases your chances of getting this weapon. Remember, the higher the difficulty level, the more are your chances of securing this weapon.

2. Sacred Provenance Pulse Rifle

The Sacred Provenance is a four-round burst fire weapon meaning you can get out four shots in a single trigger pull. Unfortunately, the only to get the Sacred Provenance is by completing the Garden Of Salvation. You can get this as a drop after defeating the final boss or by looting chests found during the raid. The good thing is that you don’t even need to finish the raid if you can score this as a lot during the raid itself.

Who doesn’t appreciate a good sniper rifle? If you’re in the crucible, then you desperately need to get your hands on a sniper. The Tranquility Sniper Rifle is currently the best among all the snipers in the game as it comes with added damage for PvE matches. It comes loaded with dozens of perks. The “No Distractions” works best if you are one of those who like to pick a lane and stick to it throughout the Crucible. The “Firing Line” gives you improved precision damage and works perfectly during boss fights. 

To get this weapon, you will have to cleanse the “Essence Of Vanity” legendary quest. When on the raid, look out for yellow-bar enemies. To complete this raid, you will need to contest multiple activities on the Moon, kill 25 enemies using only Sniper Rifles, and collect the Horned Wreath in the Chamber Of The Night. You will find the Horned Wreath to the right of the Temple Of Crota. Upon reaching this temple, reach to the bottom and continue to head past The World’s Grave, wherein you will see the quest marker. 

4. Randy’s Throwing Knife Scout Rifle

This is one of the ritualistic weapons present in Destiny 2. Those who don’t know, ritualistic weapons replace the extremely potent Pinnacle weapons from all the previous seasons. This Scout Rifle comes with perks such as the Rapid Hit, Snapshot, and the Kill Clip. You can use both Rapid Hit and Snapshot in one column, whereas you can use. Though Scout Rifles may have a bad rep in Destiny 2, Randy’s Throwing Knife Scout Rifle is worth the grind since it is the only kinetic scout rifle in that class. 

The Rapid-Fire frame allows for fully automatic firing and has a deep ammo clip followed by faster reloading. The attaching perks such as Kill Clip and Rapid Hit goes in perfectly during boss fights as they increase DPS. This is a fully automatic scout rifle that offers the same RPM as the Scorpion- 4sr. You can get the Randy’s Throwing Knife Scout Rifle by completing the Reconnaissance By Fire quest. To achieve this quest, you will need to get 450 Scout Rifle final blows, 2100 glory points, and 14,000 defeated enemies, along with medals.

5. Adhortative Pulse Rifle

Pulse rifles provide the best for both worlds in terms of accuracy and quick damage. The Adhortative Pulse Rifle offers an RPM of 390 and comes with a kinetic pulse known to work great for players in the Crucible. The Feeding Frenzy and Multi kill Clip goes on perfectly with this weapon. While the Feeding Frenzy increases your reload speed after a kill, the Multi kill Clip increases weapon damage based on the kills before reloading.

The Adhortative Pulse Rifle works best for PvE matches, wherein you can look for additional perks such as Dragonfly and Rampage for increased damage. To get this Adhortative Pulse Rifle, you will need to visit Ikora Rey in the Tower to pick up the legendary quest “Data. Seed: Pulse Rifle.” However, to complete this quest, you will first need to kill 50 Vex using a Pulse Rifle and complete the Vex Offensive Activity and the final boss to receive the Adhortative Pulse Rifle.

Every Destiny 2 Guardian knows that a shotgun is a weapon to go for when it comes to PvP. And the One Small Step provides impressive perks and abilities compared to the rest of the weapons such as Ikelos And Dust Rock Blues. This kinetic shotgun offers an RPM of 140 and has the highest rate of fire as compared to all other shotguns in the game. It can also be equipped with the Rapid-Fire Frame, which allows you to fire automatic shots with deeper ammo reserves followed by quick reloading.

Meanwhile, this Shotgun also pairs well with the One-Two-Punch that gels well with a few subclass abilities. To get the One Small Step Shotgun, you will need to complete the Essence Of Rage quest. Also, the One-Two-Punch gives you added melee damage for a short duration when hitting an enemy. This small step shotgun allows you to combine your combo melee-shoot abilities to provide you with an increased DPS.

You can get this as a random drop when completing the Essence Of Rage Quest. However, there is a higher chance of you getting this weapon when you are working the Nightmare Of Rage by defeating Dominus Ghaul. To get it during the Essence Of Rage, you will first have to obtain the Fangs Of Shun’gath in the World’s Grave. Also, you will have to land the finishing blows on the moon using supers, grenades, and melee.

7. Love And Death Grenade Launcher

Everyone likes a mean grenade launcher since it allows you to take out multiple enemies at once. And the Love And Death Grenade Launcher are probably the best launchers in Destiny 2 owing to its unique set of perks and abilities followed by a 150 RPM. Also, you can combine this weapon with multiple legendary perks such as Spike Grenades, Field Prep, and Full Court. Spike Grenades and Field Prep gives you increased damage and deeper ammo reserves, whereas the Full Court increases detonation damage. While this may be not great when facing enemy waves, it is an excellent boss-killer

You can unlock this weapon by completing the Essence Of Insanity quest. However, this quest is difficult to find as you will first need to see where it is during weapon rotation. Once you find the quest, you will be required to land final blows using a grenade launcher during Strikes, Gambit, or The Crucible. Then you will need to claim the Bound Manacle in the Gatehouse. You can find the Bound Manacle by traveling south towards Hellmouth after landing in Sorrow’s Harbor. Find Ehrath’ur, the yellow-bar Hive Knight and kill him.

8. Edgewise Machine Gun

The Edgewise is yet another ritualistic weapon introduced during the Season Of The Undying. While this weapon will need you to grind for a while, it is worth chasing. This weapon combines the power of two machine guns. Though there aren’t many machine guns in Destiny 2, Edgewise is the one to go for since it fires with an RPM of 900. Combine it with perks like Rampage and Feeding Frenzy, and your DPS damage will soar through the roof. 

This machine gun is very similar to the 21% Delirium but has a slightly better range and stability. Post the retirement of Pinnacle Weapons, Bungie was quick to introduce Ritual weapons with multiple rolls of perks. To get this machine gun, you will first need to acquire the Legendary Vanguard Quest from Zavala. You will need to score 10,000 points by killing enemies using solar-powered weapons and machine guns. However, you will also need to land 1,000 blows using machine guns and 1,500 using solar weapons. 

9. Subjunctive Machine Gun

After the Edgewise, the Subjunctive is the second most destructive machine gun in Destiny 2 with an RPM of 900. Just like the Recluse, the Subjunctive too has the potential to challenge the throne. You can pair it with perks such as Outlaw and Multi kill that will bring it right at par with the Recluse. While the Recluse continues to dominate, the Subjunctive serves as a suitable replacement and is comparatively easy to acquire. 

To get this machine gun, all you need to do is acquire the Data Seed: Submachine Gun from Ikora Rey in the Tower. To complete this quest, you will need to first defeat 50 Vex using submachine guns anywhere in the system to complete the activity. Once you have completed the Vex Offensive activity, continue to meet the quest and defeat the final boss to access the Subjunctive Machine Gun.

10. Optative Hand Cannon

With an RPM of 180, the Optative is one of the newly added hand cannons in Destiny 2, introduced during the Season Of The Undying. The Optative fills you energy slots like famous hand cannons such as Trust, Service Revolver, and the Ikelos. All these hand cannons have low recoil and can fire 180 rounds a minute. This is an excellent weapon for PvP, given its low recoil and high accuracy. Also, you can combine it with perks such as Outlaw, Kill Clip, and the Rapid Hit to increase precision, reload speed, and bullet damage.

To get the Optative, visit the Ikora Rey in the Tower and pick up Data Seed: Hand Cannon. You will need to kill 50 enemies anywhere in the system using hand cannons. Once done, breach the Black Garden in the Vex Offensive Activity and defeat the final to gain access to this weapon.
