How To Get The Secret Ending In Cyberpunk 2077?
The good thing about every RPG is the choice of dialogues that we get throughout the game. Every dialogue option we opt for takes us through a whole different storyline altogether. Similar is the case with Cyberpunk 2077. Throughout the game, Cyberpunk 2077 takes us through several missions and side quests. Despite critics hitting back hard at the game, Cyberpunk 2077 is still going strong. Because under all those bugs and crashes, the game actually has a ton of stuff for gamers to explore and weapons to get their hands on.
To make things more interesting, CD Projekt Red’s expansion pack to Cyberpunk 2077 is something the majority of us have missed. Called as the ultimate “Secret Ending” to the game, this is difficult to get without a rock-solid guide. There are three endings to Cyberpunk 2077. These three endings are presented in the form of Johnny (Keanu Reeves) options on the roof towards the end of the “point of no return” mission. Users are already familiar with all these missions Johnny presents in front of them on the roof.
Apart from these three, there’s another secret mission, hence the “secret ending.” As per sources, this secret ending has you and Johnny running one last solo mission together wherein they spare the lives of all the dead NPC’s in all the other endings. While it seems like fun, it is pretty tough to get your hands on the secret ending. In this article, we will be listing the way through which you can unlock this secret ending.
Unlocking The Secret Ending
As we mentioned above, the secret ending is one last mission you undertake with Johnny wherein you save the lives of all the NPC’s who died during the other endings. However, unlocking these missions requires you to be in 70% sync with Johnny. (when you go to “percentages” in the Main Menu, the middle section is your relationship with Johnny).
NOTE: Even if you have done a bunch of side-quests with Johnny, you’ll end up being only in 60% sync with Johnny
To unlock the secret ending:
- Call out Johnny for every wrong he’s done in the past.
- Do NOT be over-friendly with him but not too hostile either.
- Let him know that you’re disappointed in him but are willing to give him another chance.

1. Dialogue Options With Johnny
There will be a lot of dialogue options that will determine the outcome of the game. These dialogue choices will present themselves when you talk to Johnny at his grave.
Respond to Johnny’s dialogues with the replies mentioned below:
Johnny: But I’ve managed one thing for now. Not to fuck this up, what we have.
Your Reply: Nah, fucked that up too
Johnny: Ahem, is it too late to ask for a second chance?
Your Reply: What Do You Want From Me?
Johnny: At least, so it seemed…..till now
Your Reply: OK, but as second chances go, this is your last
These dialogues will significantly get your character in 70% sync with Johnny.
2. Wait For Five Minutes During The Nocturne OP55N1 Decision
As mentioned above, Johnny will present you with three options when on the roof at the end of the “Point Of No Return” mission. Here, you can choose any of the mentioned options.
Once you select the mission, the next dialogue options will appear to ask you to choose between the pills, suicide, and change your mind. Now, wait without selecting any option for 5 minutes. This will trigger a hidden dialogue which will have Johnny automatically selecting the final option.
Ultimately, Johnny will select the option of the “wild suicide run.” Agree to it, and the secret ending will begin.

3. Relationship With Johnny
As mentioned earlier, you need to be in 70% sync with Johnny to unlock the secret ending. Executing multiple side quests with Johnny throughout the game will only get you 60% sync with Johnny. Achieving that 70% sync with Johnny comes down to one conversation during a critical point in-game.
When playing the campaign, one mission will ask you to retrieve Johnny’s discarded body in the oil fields. Upon reaching Johnny, the two of you have a heart-to-heart wherein Johnny asks you about what you’ll put on his tombstone. Select the dialogue option “the guy who saved my life.”
Note: If you are fond of the gears Johnny is using, you can learn how to get Johnny’s gun, car and jacket by reading another article on our Cyberpunk Guide.
How To Get Through The Arasaka Tower?
If you think accessing V’s mansion is tough, clearly you’ve never been to the Arasaka Tower. This is one of the toughest challenges in the game. If you die during the raid, you will need to start repeatedly from your previously saved file and try again. For this mission, it is recommended to have the following gear.
- Quick hacks: Short Circuit, Contagion, Overheat
- Cyberware: Projectile Launch System With Tranquilizer Rounds
Ensure that all your stats and levels are maxed out. To get through the Arasaka Tower, go through the tower’s main entrance. Find an elevator and then reach Mikoshi via the Netrunners Official Area. The game ends, and the credits if you DIE while raiding the tower. If you successfully raid the tower, you can choose to cross the bridge with Alt, which will lead to the Temperature Ending. If you enter the well, it will lead to the Sun Ending.
Secret Ending: Rewards
Note that there is NO reward if you die while raiding the Arasaka Tower. Instead, you and Johnny run the secret ending to spare the lives of all those NPC’s who died during the other endings. This is the only route to reach The Sun Ending while still leaving Rogue alive. While the Secret Ending is brutally tough to complete, it is still the best ending in which none of your friends die.
